    wednesdays : 1 - 4pm

    wednesdays : 4:30 - 6pm

sam studios @ catalyst hs - lafayette. co
    2nd and 4th saturdays : 10am - 2-pm

sent(a)mental studios works to help facilitate creative alternatives to suicide. [sent(a)mental studio youth project] haven provides individual and group open studio opportunities to a variety of denver/boulder metro youth - referred by various youth outreach organizations and schools.

students work with artist, dylan scholinski, to help find, create, and witness personal narrative and creative expressions - to assist in the reclaiming of their lives, stories and identities - and to claim the power and pride from each of their own individual voices in a safe and supportive space.

hello all,

as the school year ends i realize just how busy the studio has been this year - its busier than ever - and sadly, i have found it hard to keep up with the website updates, etc. - which means some of you have missed out on the awesomeness that occurs in this place - as i set some goals for the summer 1) is to figure out how to manage the website better - with more posts, pictures, stories, etc.... so check back... it's sure to be an exciting summer - and you don't want to miss it !!!

What is the Colorado Queer Youth Summit ?

The Colorado Queer Youth Summit was established in 2008 by a coalition of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Pansexual, Queer, Two-spirit, Same-Gender-Loving, and Ally youth-serving organizations. The coalition seeks to create a space that is “For Youth – By Youth” with intentional focus on providing youth the support to realize their own potential recognizing that strong communities are best build from within. The network of sponsors represent people and organizations who believe in that vision and are dedicated to providing youth with the mentorship and support to the do the work. The summit held in each Winter brings over 200 youth to participate in youth-led and co-led workshops in one of four tracks: Show Me Some Love, Who We Are, Art & Media, and Youth Organizing.

4th Annual Silent Auction to benefit the
Denver Zine Library and Sent(a)Mental Studios

Monday, November 8, 2010 from 7-9pm

27 Social Centre: 2727 West 27th Avenue, Denver
(entrance around right side of building)

Art, zines, live music, mind-blowing auction items and
super awesome special guests!

The list of auction items and donors will be available at www.denverzinelibrary.org and will be updated as they come in. We’re still accepting donations, so contact Kelly at [email protected] with your items and ideas!

The Denver Zine Library is a non-profit, volunteer run, lending library located inside the 27 Social Centre. Founded in December 2003, our library consists of over 9,000 zines cataloged and available for loan to the public. We hold open hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 pm and by appointment. More info available at www.denverzinelibrary.org.

Sent(a)Mental Studios houses three projects: The Sent(a)Mental Project is a collection of creative works about, by, or for individuals or groups affected by suicide. The Youth Project facilitates the reclaiming of creative voices in a safe and supportive environment for Denver-area youth. Mental (St)ealth is a collection of creative works by psychiatric survivors. Open studio hours are Wednesday 1-4 and Saturday 12-5 as well as holding a variety of suicide prevention classes running throughout the week. More info available at www.sentamentalstudios.com.

hello all,

i am so sorry i've been so out of touch. there has been much going on with having moved the studio, beginning a new school year with students, settling into new space, and much more.

so here i am putting finishing touches on the new space and putting off posting because i have so much to say, don't know where to start - and then fear another month will go by. so please bear with me... over the next couple of weeks i will post many different bits of info, photos,updated wish-lists, etc... so check back.
